Trust

The part you should check.

Every product in this category promises restraint, so a promise is worth very little on its own. These are the three claims we make that you can actually verify, and the one place they stop.

Download for Windows

Signed installer.

It does not take screenshots.

No picture of your screen is captured at any point in a task, on a timer or when you press the shortcut. Because nothing is captured, there is no image to send anywhere and none sitting in a cache or on a disk. You do not have to take that on faith either: watch the traffic and you will not find one.

What it does cover is on where it works.

Today’s build cannot press anything.

The installer on this page contains no code that can move your mouse or press a key. That is worth separating from a policy, because a policy is a sentence and this is an absence. The program does not hold the capability and then decline to use it.

When Do ships, that changes for anyone who turns it on, and only for them. Pointing keeps working the way it does now.

It stops at these windows.

Checked before anything is read, on every run, with no way to switch it off.

  • 1Password
  • Bitwarden
  • KeePass and KeePassXC
  • LastPass
  • Windows credential prompts

Plus banking, checkout, payment, sign-in and account-security windows, in a browser or out of one, and anything else that announces itself as handling a credential.

It works from a list, which makes it a safeguard rather than a guarantee. A window nobody thought of is a window it will read. We would rather say that plainly than let you assume it is exhaustive, so if you find a gap, send it to hello@cursorly.app and it gets added.

How to check us.

Try the refusal yourself

Put a password manager in front of it and press the shortcut. The run stops. It stops quietly, which is a rough edge we own.

Watch the network

Point a proxy at it. What leaves is the goal you typed and a short text summary of what it is working in. No image, because none was taken.

Read the privacy page

The full account of what is sent, what is stored, and what syncs is on the privacy policy, in the same plain words as this page.
