Not every stuck moment is about where to click. Sometimes you can see the control perfectly well and have no idea what it will do, or why it is greyed out, or which of four similar options is the one you want.

Ask about what you can see
Point at a control and ask. What does this do, what breaks if I change it, why is it greyed out. The answer comes back about that control, in that app, in the state it is in right now.
The answer lands where the thing is
The reason this is a mode and not a chat box: an answer in a side window still leaves you translating text back onto your screen. Ask puts it on the control, so there is nothing to map.
Nothing new gets taken
No extra permissions and no capture. Ask works from exactly what Point already works from.
Why this is separate from Point.
Pointing answers "where". Asking answers "what" and "why". They are different questions and they want different behaviour, so we would rather ship two honest modes than one that half-does both.
Meanwhile: Point works today.
